Healthy Boundaries, Healthy Relationships – Camp Retreat Istria, Croatia

September 29, 2022 @ 12:00 am - October 3, 2022 @ 11:59 pm CEST

In healthy relationships we are attuned to the other person and we respect, appreciate and understand them. We also need to see, hear and feel them. In order to build such a relationship, it is essential that we communicate with one another, that we build trust and that we treat the other person as a part of ourselves. With love and compassion. It sounds easy, right?
Unhealthy, toxic or dysfunctional relationships in adulthood are all the result of developmental trauma. This is the main reason people don’t know how to set boundaries and meet their needs for autonomy and connection.
In order to heal dysfunctional relationships, we need to go back to the ROOT OF DEVELOPMENTAL TRAUMA, fulfilling the unmet needs of our inner child.
Something that is very important in relationships are boundaries, with which we reveal to each other how we want to be treated, what we will say YES to and what we will say NO to.
A boundary is an imaginary line that uniquely defines our personal happiness, feelings, thoughts, integrity, desires, needs – our truth.
It is necessary to know that boundaries do not tell about another person, what they can and cannot do. It is about a clear and strong PERSONAL choice, what we will say YES to and what we will say NO to.
In order to get the life experience we want, we choose ( set boundaries ). Then we think, speak and act accordingly.
Healthy boundaries are the most powerful thing we can do for ourselves.
Setting healthy boundaries is beneficial for all our relationships.
In this four-day workshop ( half day Thursday and Monday + three full days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ), we will learn that our relationships can improve when we:
1. Develop a healthy sense of ourselves, our truth and our boundaries
2. Become aware of our subconscious emotional urges, drivers and triggers
3. Make the necessary changes
4. Practice true honesty with ourselves and others
5. Use pain in our relationships to define our boundaries, values, goals, needs and desires
6. Clearly communicate what we need and want, and what we don’t
7. Stand for healthy, mature, conscious, open and authentic communication
8. Are present and conscious here and now
Partners and singles.
You do not have to be in a partnership to come to the workshop.
If you are in a partnership, you may or may not come with your partner.
• A LOT of nature, peace, sea, greenery, sunshine

Boris Glumpak
I graduated from primary music school, with the major in guitar. I sang in various choirs ( Ivan Goran Kovaćić, Collegium pro musica sacra, Desiderium, Ivan Kukuljević Sakcinski…). I also graduated from the Voice Discovery School (Werbeck method of singing) and I regularly perform voice exercises from this school, continuously improving my voice. I started and I now manage the Feštaonica project.
Through this project, I try to encourage people to sing, to enjoy singing. I remind them that it doesn’t matter whether we think we can sing or not, whether we think we have a good or bad voice, the important thing is that we keep singing.
It is important that we use our “God-given tool” that directly leads us to a state of relaxation, satisfaction and a better connection with ourselves and the world around us.
“What would the forest look like if only the birds with the most beautiful voices sing in it?”
Ivan Judaš
A joung musician from Zagreb, one of the first handpan players in Croatia.
With this beautiful instrument he started recording his first album and released his first single “Inception”.
With his performances at various events and festivals in Croatia and around the world, Ivan has won the hearts of many people, and already with his first single he began to gain attention and was recognized by audiences from all over the world.
This gentle and meditative music is perfect for relaxing in nature, for studying, yoga and meditations. As a street musician and the first teacher of handpan in Croatia, Ivan puts all his love and passion into music, sharing it with others.
The handpan is a rare, new instrument that has only been around for 20 years. It is originally from Switzerland and is probably the instrument that has spread the fastest around the globe, in the history of mankind, gaining worldwide popularity. Simply, the instrument has a sound that can make almost every person fall in love with it, first time they hear it. Because of its incredibly soothing and pleasant sound, it was recently officially included in the list of instruments used in sound therapy. It has been proven to have a positive effect on the nervous system. The handpan is great for relaxing the body and excellent anti-stress therapy.
Maja Grzelja
I come from a dancing family with folk, classical and Latin background. The new generation grew up on hip-hop, and my movement has always been best expressed through the free creation of body and soul.
I am a journalist by profession, and for most of my working life I have been involved in tourism and conference organisation.
Behind me there are hundreds of dance hours at 5 rhythms evenings ( but also other dance practices such as Movement Medicine and Ecstatic Dance ) and a dozen 7-day workshops with wonderful and inspiring teachers, melting the layers of my movements into one uniquely mine.
With every dance I continue to grow into my true dancing self.
In each of us lives our knower part whom we are reminded of the truths that are available to all of us through our conscious life. Through conscious dance and movement, we learn how to apply the benefits of dance practice in everyday life. Standing or dancing in the truth, we can set healthy boundaries with our YES or our NO behind which is a chosen force. Clarity of movement teaches us through the body how to be clear in communication, which is one of the prerequisites for healthy relationships. This is the meeting place where we will meet in this workshop, and conscious dance will support us on the way. My gift is encouraging a quiet passion for life and bringing the peace of the inner knower. In this workshop through a careful selection of music I will lead you to Clarity.
We start the program on Thursday, September 29th at 1 p.m. and we finish on Monday, October 3rd at 1 p.m.
Day by day program will be sent by email to those interested.
